There is nothing more comforting to see someone grow and shine in front of your eyes where you can actually say that you have seen them come through all the odds against them. Within the fashion fraternity one person I have witnessed battle everything and make his way to the top to be rightly named as the King of Couture is Hassan Shehryar Yasin or lets just say HSY. It feels just like yesterday when he started off and now as he celebrated the completion of 24 years in the industry, I was like where did the time go? To celebrate his journey, HSY put together one of its kind Solo show in the heart of inner Lahore, to present an ode to the city he owes a lot in the form of an exclusive collection curated from heart named as “MOHABATNAMA”
On 21st April, HSY arranged his first ever solo show in the historic Haveli of wajid Ali Shah located in old Lahore that set the perfect mood for the whole theme. With the dress code set to white eastern, it was 
definitely a sight to see where all the who’s who of the fashion fraternity of the country joined together under the starry Lahore sky to witness Hassan Shehryar’s finely crafted latest bridal collectiont that spoke of his love for the city and how much influence it has on his craft. The 40 ensemble Bridal collection that featured unusual hues of powder pink and Henna green were emblazoned with finest of hand work. Seeing them up close you wouldn’t believe your eyes at the finesse with which our culturally rich details were incorporated in especially at the hems of those anarkali frocks. From Lehngas to churidars to those absolutely beautiful sherwanis, each piece was truly a work of art that left the audience awestruck.
The night also became a memorable one because HSY made sure that his whole 24 year journey was perfectly showcased as it featured first and original muse, his sister 
Afshan Samee and also the pioneer models of the industry Zainab Qayum, Seemi Pasha, Natasha Hussain, Vaneeza Ahmed and Andaleeb Rana. Also walking for HSY was the ace stylist Shehzad Raza with whom he has a long time collaboration. Reema Khan closed the show and walked as the showstopper with much grace and poise that is what HSY makes truly remarkable.
This night was truly a experience like never 
before. A journey of decades and story of lifetime unfolded before our eyes that mesmerized us for days. It has been amazing to see HSY rise to the heights and here is to many more years of bringing the best of fashion in Pakistan by him
