Oppo and Xiaomi Show off invisible cameras hidden inside the display screen.
“For those seeking the perfect, notchless smartphone screen experience – prepare to be amazed. You are taking a very first look at our under-display selfie camera technology” read a tweet on Oppo’s Official twitter. The video was tweeted right after Oppo’s VP posted a video showing off the under-screen camera.
Hours after Oppo’s video started circulating the internet, Xiaomi’s president Li Bin posted a video on Weibo showing off Xiaomi Mi 9 with under screen camera that is not visible on the phone.

From the video, it appears that Xiaomi is probably way ahead of Oppo in terms of its readiness to launch the Mi 9 and make it commercially available to us to test out this bad boy.
The camera technology on smartphone is the area that all smart phone manufacturers seem to be focusing on and there is a race to be the first, which has little or no meaning in a world where technological advancements are happening at a radical speed.
