All over the world there are four seasons while in Pakistan we have a 5th one and its called the wedding season. As soon as the sun starts being a little less cruel and the evenings start getting that slight chill to it, the influx of wedding invites skyrockets. Not that I am complaining but when you have a wedding to attend every weekend, you need to have a well assorted wardrobe with pieces that you can mix and match and not end up wearing the same dress every where.
One event we look forward to all year specifically for our wedding season needs, is the annual PFDC L’oreal Bridal Week, where the upcoming trends of the season are displayed and set the mood for the year.
This year the much awaited bridal extravaganza took place in the heart of Lahore and the designer’s collections were no less than breathtaking. With so many amazing designs and collections it was so hard to pick out our favourites but of course we always have our favourites and that too for right reasons.
If you are looking for the latest bridal /wedding wear trends for the season, we have shortlisted a couple of collections that you should have a look at before making a decision!

“Golestan” by House of Kamiar Rokni :
Heavily embellished pants were the center of the Golestan collection by the House of kamiar rokni. The designer known for his traditional sophistication with a touch of modren chic is everything you should keep in mind this season. We are totally crushing over the finesse of gota work in the whole collection and specially the gorgeous worked lowers that you can pair with heavy or light shirts alike!

Ditch your straight pants and shirts & opt for long shirts, flow peshwaz and pleated Lehngas. Add colors with beautifully worked duppatas and voila! You are all set for the wedding season.
” ADAMAH” by Republic by Omar Farooq :
It would be really biased if we don’t talk about the Menswear while talking about weddings. Republic by Omar Farooq sets a standard every season just to outdo himself the next!
This year playing with more Eastern cuts, the sherwanis by Republic were just out of this world. Very fine cuts, beautiful fabrics and minimal yet awe inspiring embellishments were everything we look for men’s wedding wear.
